WEED ABATEMENT NOTIFICATION Following discussion, it was moved by <br /> Councilman Herrin, seconded by Council- <br /> man Patterson and carried, that for <br />future Weed Abatement Programs the Staff shall mall Out written notices for weed <br />abatement using the latest available County Assessor's roll; that this additional <br />cost shall he borne by General Funds; and that this notice be in addition to the <br />placard posting method. <br /> <br />PARK SITE DEDICATION It was moved by Councilman Brooks, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin, that <br /> the City shall retain its present policy <br />and not adopt an ordinance requiring subdividers to dedicate land for park pur- <br />poses or pay an "in lieu" fee for park purposes. The motion was adopted on the <br />following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Thurman, Villa, Griset <br />Markel, Patterson <br />None <br /> <br />LOT FEES Councilman Brooks stated that the City <br /> was behind the times in its fees; that <br /> our fees amounted to half those of many <br />cities; and that perhaps the $25.00 lot fee should be upgraded. <br /> <br />Following further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br />Councilman Villa and carried, that the Staff conduct a further study of fees paid <br />by land developers and report to the Council on the matter as soon as possible. <br /> <br />FEDERAL AID It was moved by Councilman Brooks, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin, that <br /> the Council defer discussion of the <br />City Manager's report on Federal Aid to Cities to the meeting of July 7, on the <br />following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Markel, Thurman, Griset <br />Patterson, Villa <br />None <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Councilman Markel requested that the following statement be included in <br />the Minutes of the meeting: <br /> <br />"For the record I wish inserted into the Minutes of the Meeting <br />of May 5, 1969, of May 19, 1969 and/or this June Z, 1969 <br />Meeting of the Council the following statement which is intended <br />to cover a more detailed statement I made in connection with <br />the inadvisability of permitting commercial encroachments into <br />industrial areas of the City.
