RESOLUTION NO. 2003-098 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS FROM THE URBAN PARK ACT OF 2001 <br />PROGRAM UNDER THE CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, <br />SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS AND COASTAL <br />PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The people of the State of California have enacted the California Clean <br />Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002, which <br />provides funds to the State of California for grants to eligible applicants; and <br /> <br /> B. The California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated <br />the responsibility for the administration of the Urban Park Act of 2001 Program, pursuant <br />to which the Project is funded, and setting up necessary procedures governing project <br />application under the program; and <br /> <br /> C. Said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and <br />Recreation, require the City Council to certify by resolution the approval of the <br />Application before submission of said Application to the State. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council approves the filing of an application for local <br />assistance funds from the Urban Park Act of 2001Program under the California Clean <br />Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002 for the <br />Memorial Recreation/Community Center Project; and <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Council certifies that the City has or will have available <br />prior to commencement of any work on the project(s) included in this application, <br />sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project(s); and <br /> <br /> Section 4. The City Council certifies that the City has reviewed, understands <br />and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural <br />Guide; and <br /> <br /> Section 5.
