by Councilman Villa, to order filed report of bids received for Spec. 631- <br />128, Domestic Type Water Meters; award contract for the 3/4" by 1", the <br />1 1/2", and the ~?' meters to Hersey-Sparling Meter Company, and award <br />contract for. the 5/8" by 3/4" and the 1" meters to Rockwell Manufacturing <br />Company; and to reject all other bids. <br /> <br />Mr, Alden, Vice President of A. J. Products Company, spoke on behalf <br />of his company's bid on the Crane meters. After discussion by Council, <br />the tabled motion to award the contract to Hersey-Sparling Meter Company <br />and to Rockwell Manufacturing Company was adopted unanimously. <br /> <br />BID CALLS On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br /> unanimously carried, plans and <br />specifications were approved and advertising for bids authorized for <br />the following: <br /> <br />Project 6007 - Remodel Council Chambers, opening July 29, 1969 <br /> <br />Project 7006 - Reconstruct Baker Street footbridge on Santiago <br />Creek and construction of storm drain outlet headwall, opening <br />July 29, 1969 <br /> <br />Project 7007 - Reconstruct Valencia Street crossing and parking <br />area at Santiago Creek in Santiago Park, opening July 29, 1969. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooke, seconded by Councilman Villa and <br />unanimously carried, the staff was authorized to negotiate, and the <br />City Manager was authorized to execute a lease-purchase agreement <br />for Project 6008, to furnish and deliver a portable swimming pool; <br />if this proved unsuccessful, the staff was authorized to advertise for <br />bids, to be opened July 21. <br /> <br />ORD. NS-971 - A.A. 645 ORDINANCE NS-9?I CI-IANGING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON <br /> AMENDMENT APPLICATION 645 <br />INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 645-A) (rezoning <br />property north of 8th, east of Flower, south of 17th and west of Main as <br />follows: north of Washington f~om the R 2 and R 3 Districts to the R 3H <br />District, and south of Washington from the R 2, R 3 and R3H Districts <br />to the P District) was adopted, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Brooks, on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Brooks, Thurman, Villa, Griset <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Markel, Patterson <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-258- <br /> <br />July 7, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
