Mrs. Janice Boer, 912 N. Lowell, 'sUggested that the Council specifically <br />let it be known that applications from the 'conservative' element of the <br />community would be welcome. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel stated that the only concern of the Council was in appoint- <br />lng the best quali£ied candidate who would serve in the best interests of the City; <br />and that in his opinion there were no "minorities" -- only Americans. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6007 Acting on the recommendation of the City <br />REMODEL COUNCIL CHAMBERS Manager, award of contract for Project <br /> 6007, Remodel CounciI Chambers, was <br />held over to the August 18 Council meeting, on motion ~f Councilman Brooks, <br />seconded by Councilman Markel and unanimously carried.
