NS-983 - UNDERGROUND ORDINANCE NS-983 AMENDING THE <br />UTILITIES SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br /> ADDING SECTION 8314.1 TO CHAPTER <br />3, ARTICLE VIII THEREOF TO REQUIRE FUTURE SERVICE CONNECTIONS ON <br />STRUCTURES TO BE PLACED UNDERGROUND was passed to second reading, <br />on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Evans and unanimously <br />car rte d. <br /> <br />MASSAGE Council considered proposed ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHMENTS NS-985 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER <br />4, TO ARTICLE VI THEREOF RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF MASSAGE <br />ESTABLISHMENTS. Mr. David Carlson, Western Regional Director of the <br />American Massage and Therapy Association, expressed his satisfaction with the <br />proposed ordinance, stating it would upgrade the profession by establishing <br />that operators would have to be properly trained and qualified in order to be <br />licensed in this city. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Patterson and <br />unanimously carried, the Council deferred artion on the matter to October 20, <br />and directed that copies of the proposed ordinance be sent to the American <br />Massage and Therapy Association and to all persons engaged in the massage <br />and therapy business in the city for their consideration. <br /> <br />ORD. NS-988 - ORDINANCE NS-986 AMENDING <br />DRIVER PERMITS AND THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />APPEAL BY AMENDING SECTIONS 6382.2 <br /> AND 6384.1 THEREOF CONCERNING <br />STANDARDS FOR DRIVER PERMITS AND APPEAL THEREFROM was passed <br />to second reading, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br />Villa and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />RES. 89-147 <br />RECOVERY OF TAXES THE COUNTY OF ORANGE DEFEND <br />ACTION THE ACTION FOR RECOVERY OF <br /> TAXES PAID UNDER PROTEST FILED <br />BY IMPORT BUYERS CORPORATION ET AL AGAINST THE COUNTY OF <br />ORANGE AND THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ET AL was adopted, on motion <br />of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Villa and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 69-147 REQUESTING THAT <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-342 - <br /> <br />October 6, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
