Councilman Markel opposed the. exPenditure <br />of funds for this purpose and asked whether or not the park could be designed <br />by City personnel. <br /> <br /> The City Manager stated that the landscape technician capable of doing park <br /> design was no longer in the employ of the City; that from time to' time t~ere <br />,~-had been criticism of the City's parks development in not using professional <br /> services; that the professional anchitect could combine~highly organized <br /> recreational activities and beauty intO a park development; and that the Staff had <br /> intended to try this approach at La Bolsa Park as well. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-344- <br /> <br />October 6, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
