RES. 69-157 RESOLUTION 69-157 AUTHORIZING <br />LEGAL PROCEEDINGS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CON- <br />DUCT LEGAL PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CITY OF SANTA ANA was adopted, <br />on motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Villa, on the <br />following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Brooks, Evans, Markel, Villa <br />He rrin, Griset <br />Patterson <br /> <br />RES. 69-159 -QUITCLAIM DEEDS RESOLUTION 69-159 OF THE CITY <br />FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> ANA AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER <br />OF A FLOOD CONTROL FACILITY AND RIGHT OF WAY AND EXECUTION <br />OF QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL <br />DISTRICT was adopted, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br />Councilman Evans and unanimously carried, and the Mayor was authorized <br />to execute the agreement. <br /> <br />RES. 69-160 RESOLUTION 69-160 ENDORSING <br />ENDORSING TASC ACTION ACTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION <br /> ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN CALI- <br />FORNIA SEEKING REDUCED AND SIMPLIFIED FEDERAL CONTROLS <br />RELATED TO THE "TOPICS" PROGRAM was adopted~ on motion of <br />Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried. Council- <br />man Markel voted "No". <br /> <br />RECODIFICATION On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br /> seconded by Councilman Villa and <br /> unanimously carried, the Clerk was <br />instructed to set for public hearing on November 17, 1969, at 7:30 P. M., <br />in the Council Chambers, 500 West Sixth Street, the adoption of the <br />recodification of the Santa Arm Municipal Code, and the City Attorney <br />was instructed to prepare an ordinance for first reading on November 3, <br />1969. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />Council members present. <br /> <br />At 3:45 P. M~, a five minute recess <br />was declared. The Council recon- <br />vened at 3:50 P. M. ~ with the same <br /> <br />RES. 69-162 Mayor recognized Dr. Michael <br />FEDERAL AID Lodato~ representing Macro Data <br /> Associates, who stated that the <br />Application from Macro Systems that will be submitted to Housing and <br />Urban Development for Public Safety Informational Systems Grant would <br />be ready to send in by the end of the week, and that it now required a <br />resolution by the City Council authorizing the City Manager to submit <br />the proposal. Councilman Herrin objected, stating he seriously <br />questioned the ability of the Federal government to make this assist - <br />ance to all of the people without further escalating the inflationary <br />factors, and that as long as we hold our hand out, we are in principal <br />saying that it is right~ and he did not think it was.
