SPECIAL Mayor Griset preseated a Certificate of PRESENTATION Appreciatiom to Tcm Thorkelsoa, Chairmaa of the Saata Ama Ceatemalal Ccemaittee. Mr. Thorkelson them read a report to the City Coumcil from the Cemtemmial C~ittee, and he amd Mayor Griset presemted Certificates of Appreciatiom to i~dividuals who had ~ontributed'toward:the success of the Cemtemmial Celebratioa. ABC APPLICATION Richard Browm, applicamt for am Alcoholic Beverage Licemse for Laff Imm, 320 South Maim Street, appeared before the Coumcil to iaquire what actiom was takem at the November 3 Coomcil meetimg regardiag his applicatioa, siace he had mot bees preseat. He explala- ed that he is ruamimg a cleam, legitimate bar amd did mot ~eel there would be amy problems. The City Attormey explalaed that a letter had beem seat to the Alcoholic Beverage Coatrol Board at the Coumcil's directiom obJectimg umofficially to the re-opemimg of this locatiom because of the history of problems at this address im the past. Ne stated that the letter did mot coastitute a formal protest, so there would be mo hearimg, amd the letter is of mi~tmal value as far as a protest is comcermed.
