REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />JANUARY 5, 2004 <br />TITLE: <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT <br />ACCEPTING GROWTH MANAGEMENT <br />AREA FUNDS FOR VARIOUS <br /> <br />PROJECTS <br /> <br />APPROVED [] As Recommended <br /> [] As Amended <br /> [] Ordinance on 1st Reading <br /> [] Ordinance on 2~d Reading <br /> [] Implementing Resolution <br /> [] Set Public Headng For <br /> <br />CONTINUEDTO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting funds in the amount of <br />$465,000 into the Measure M Street Construction Fund (account no. 32-01- <br />5049) and appropriating funds to the Measure M Street Construction Fund <br />(account no. 32-551-6631) as follows: <br /> <br />· $290,000 (project no. 1764, for Westminster Avenue Widening) <br />· $175,000 (project no. 1740, for Memory Lane Bridge Widening) <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />As part of the funding for the Westminster Avenue and Memory Lane Bridge <br />widening projects, the City received Measure M Growth Management Area <br />(GMA) Funds from OCTA. These GMA funds were previously allocated to <br />Fiscal Year 06/07. The GMA board approved an action to move these funds <br />to the current fiscal year. In order to recognize these funds, an <br />appropriation adjustment is needed. The funds will be used for street <br />improvements that are scheduled to be completed in early 2004. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br /> <br />Page 11 20.D. <br /> <br /> <br />
