Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br /> of $431,800. <br /> <br />DI,SCUSSION <br /> <br />This project involves the construction of new water main and <br />appurtenances on Hickory Street between McFadden Avenue and Hobart Street <br />and on Hobart Street between The Bike Trail and Standard Avenue (Exhibit <br />1). Work encompasses the construction of new water mains, valves, fire <br />hydrants, and water services. Once completed, this project will eliminate <br />water main breaks and leaks associated with older and deteriorated water <br />mains. In addition, it will enhance water service capacity and provide <br />fire protection to the surrounding neighborhoods. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on November 4 and 5, 2003 and <br />bids were opened on December 4, 2003.
