OrB. for video production assistance and consultation in an <br /> amount not to exceed $75,000. <br />~SCUSBION <br /> <br />At the June 2, 2003 Council meeting the Police Department was granted the <br />authority to accept a $275,000 grant from the State of California Office of <br />Traffic Safety (OTS). This grant funding is for the OTS Mobile Driving <br />Under the Influence Education and Driving Simulator Classroom Program. The <br />Police Department's Traffic Division will be deploying a mobile DUI <br />simulation classroom trailer to Santa Ana High Schools, colleges, and other <br />venues providing an educational program to students ages 15-22. As part of <br />this program the Department will be presenting a professionally produced <br />video that features contemporary music and content designed to appeal to <br />the younger driver. <br /> <br />On September 2, 2003, the City issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to <br />provide for the video production assistance and consultation needed for the <br />programs educational video production. RFQ's were mailed to 80 vendors and <br />nine proposals were received. The proposals were evaluated by staff for <br />responsiveness, quality of past products, service experience in developing <br />law enforcement, governmental and educational products, the ability to <br />provide comparable services requested, level of services proposed and <br />financial stability. Staff's evaluation determined that the proposal <br />submitted by Fast Carrier Pictures, and Regenerate.Org met all the <br />requirements of the RFQ and recommend entering into an agreement. <br /> <br />Page 37 25.B. <br /> <br /> <br />
