Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12- <br />month contract period - 6060 PERSONS <br />H..Description of Work — in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12- <br />month contract; period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, <br />& how grant funds will be utilized. <br />The area that we serve indudes the very low income families, those Individuate *0 varied stations in life —those <br />who are recently laid off, underemployed, unemployed, Senior citizens, mdividuak wM dbabiliies, single parents, <br />TANF recpisnts and the homeless. More than 90% of those we serve live in Santa Ana. The majanly of ourdient <br />j <br />population resides within the ne' borhocds between McFadden to Santa Clara Sheets, and extending PDPu � 9 from <br />Harbor Boulevard and Main Sheet However, we extend our services to the emirs Orange County community. <br />l <br />There is a shortage of food that is avalshk to feed the hungry in Orange County. The high cost of housing, in <br />') Orange County and other economic factors leaves Ob money for most residents to afford healthy nutritious meak <br />for their fa dies. We continue to we an kweasing number of first time Pamfres and individuals who seek our <br />serene. The funding from this gra"0 wN be used to fsordate the hot meek and emergency food bag programs and <br />will ensure not only that foods wFd be avafabk but also that sufficient staffing is available to handle the increased <br />j numberof families and individuak seeking our services.
