EXHIBIT A <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />This Memorandum, dated this l Oth day of April 2002, is by and between Taller <br />San Jose and the California Employment Development Department. <br />Whereas; the parties to this Memorandum have a vast experience and <br />expertise in providing employment and training services to at -risk in- school <br />youth and out -of- school youth, and <br />Whereas, the parties seek to formalize their cooperation as providers of <br />employment and training services in order to enhance their collaboration for <br />the purpose of greater efficiency and more effective services to clients; now <br />therefore, <br />The parties agree jointly to propose and, if awarded a contract by the Santa <br />Ana Workforce Investment Board Youth Council, to operate a program of <br />multi - services for Santa Ana low- income in- school and out -of- school youth as <br />required by the terms of such contracts. The parties agree to assist each other <br />to achieve program objectives.
