Docusign Envelope ID:ABAOF1AB-1 F56-41 F1-8C93-C2D999BB641A <br /> tiWA WN 0 ff IJ DILI DI <br /> AD <br /> Exhibit S <br /> TRUSSING TEMPORARY SPECIAL EVENT STRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION &SAFETY CODE <br /> For purpose of public and worker safety, the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) requires that all <br /> show producers/promoters,commercial exhibitors/merchants and concessionaires incorporating <br /> trussing and other structural components such as signage, banner frames and flag poles into their <br /> exhibit/booth design or concession area must adhere to all manufacturer specifications and OSHA <br /> guidelines as well as any other applicable state and local regulation when setting up planned <br /> exhibitor/merchant or concession space. See below California Fire Code (CFC) reference <br /> language specific to Temporary Special Event Structures. Other related safety practice <br /> requirements also apply when personnel climb onto trussing, and/or stand on concession trailer <br /> roofs. Safety measures must include, but are not limited to: <br /> • Required fall arrest system (harness and line use) by personnel exposed to fall hazard <br /> during installation, maintenance/wash and teardown periods. <br /> • Specified installation of base plates and anchoring systems. <br /> Specified blocking schemes and pinning devices. <br /> Show producers/promoters, commercial exhibitors/merchants and concessionaires not <br /> adhering to above guidelines,or deemed to be operating in an otherwise unsafe manner, may <br /> be directed to cease operations. Violations can result in counseling and other corrective <br /> measures up to and including notice of contractual default. If condition is not corrected within <br /> a reasonable remedy period based upon severity of situation or immediately when absolutely <br /> necessary,or if occurrence is a repeat violation, matter can be cause for loss of directly related <br /> rental space and/or dismissal from the OC Fair & Event Center as well as loss of consideration <br /> for future participation at the OC Fair and other planned events. <br /> Advance request and OCFEC/State Fire Marshal review process: During application and <br /> contractual rental agreement development timeline, Renter shall submit a request to respective <br /> contracting department for OCFEC review and approval of Renter's intent to install trussing units <br /> or other such structures surrounding or adjoining designated concession or commercial exhibitor <br /> space. If provided OCFEC approval to proceed to next steps of structure planning, Renter is then <br /> required by OCFEC and California State Fire Marshal to provide structure (trussing) installation <br /> construction documentation, inclusive of a stamped engineering drawing prepared by a California <br /> registered structural engineer in accordance with the California Building Code and a letter of <br /> conformance from the party responsible far actual building of the structure. Documentation shall <br /> encompass structural integrity,wind loads and flamespread requirements,and must be available <br /> to OCFEC and fire code official upon request for review and approval in order to permit installation <br /> of planned temporary structure. In and of itself, submission of documents to OCFEC or fire code <br /> official does not constitute approval.
