Development Streamlining Update <br />Planning and Building Agency <br />March 4, 2025 <br />Slide 4 <br />What is PBx? <br />•Planning and Building Express, or PBx, <br />is a permits streamlining approach <br />reflecting new mindset at City Hall: <br />–Consistent and constant evaluation of <br />existing practices, and how they can be <br />streamlined <br />–Evaluate how those changes deliver results <br />for both applicants and staff. <br />•Implementing practices so far include: <br />–Branding (new logo) <br />–Same-day permits for the most common <br />applications <br />–Over-the-counter plan check opportunities <br />–7-Day (or Less!) ADU reviews, available <br />pre-approved ADU plans, and concurrent <br />reviews to save money and time.
