Motion: <br /> <br />75.B. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Continued from the December 1,2003 City Council Meeting <br /> <br />Applicant: Chan and Quynh Kieu <br /> <br />Presentation of staff report by Maya DeRosa, Senior Planner, Planning & <br />Building Agency. <br /> <br />Written communication received - None <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Quynh Kieu, applicant, addressed the Council and <br />expressed concern relative to the placement of this property on the Santa <br />Ana Register of Historic Properties. She reported that because of chronic <br />roof leakage, there has been extensive damages on the first floor of the <br />structure and she has been unable to obtain an estimate from consultants <br />specializing in fiat roofs which would offer a guarantee over five years. <br />She also noted that if the property were to be placed on the Historic <br />Register, she would not have the needed flexibility to properly repair the <br />roof. <br /> <br />Q. Dinh addressed the Council and noted that he had witnessed the <br />severe roof leakage during the recent rainy period <br /> <br />Public hearing closed <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued.
