L. Hawn Co., Inc. for air conditioning <br />filters for a one-year period in an amount not to exceed $40,714 <br />annually. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Building Maintenance Section of the Finance and Management Services <br />Agency maintains the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) <br />systems in various City buildings. These contain a variety of air <br />filters that are replaced several times annually to ensure a clean work <br />environment. The contract for HVAC filters is designed to provide <br />quality products at significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br /> <br />On January 16, 2001, the City Council awarded a contract to P. L. Hawn <br />Co., Inc. for a two-year period with provision for two one-year <br />renewals. This is the final renewal option. The vendor has performed <br />satisfactorily during the past contract period. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are available in the Building Maintenance Machinery & Equipment <br />Maintenance and Repair account (account nos. 73-105-6281). <br /> <br />A~FUNDS.
