The <br />standard recommends a limit of 15 years to frontline service units, <br />with a reserve status of five years. The standards are part of the <br />requirements for maintaining a recognized Class 1 Fire Department. Due <br />to age, one 1981 pumper meets the schedule for replacement. The <br />delivery time with American LaFrance of Los Angeles is at a nine-month <br />period. <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Ordinance No. NS-2312 authorizes the City to make <br />purchases using contracts from any public agency. The County of <br />Ventura's contract with American LaFrance was awarded as a result of <br />open, competitive bidding, and meets the City's requirements. <br /> <br />Page 59 22.D. <br /> <br /> <br />
