Adopt a resolution approving Historic Register Categorization No. <br /> 2003-34. <br /> <br />Historic Resources Commission Action <br /> <br />Adopted a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application <br />No. 2003-30 and Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-34 at its <br />October 2, 2003 meeting by a vote of 7:0 (Chinn and Bustamante absent). <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Rec~uest of ADplicant <br /> <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Quang Kieu, the owners of the Maharajah House, request <br /> denial of the Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2003-30 <br /> placing the Maharajah House on the Santa Aha Register of Historical <br /> Properties and Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-34 classifying <br /> it as Landmark. Mr. and Mrs. Kieu submitted a letter of appeal (Exhibit <br /> 1) on October 13, 2003 stating their reasons for declining the register <br /> listing. Their request to appeal the Historic Resources Commission <br /> decision is based on 1) their letter dated October 2, 2003 requesting the <br /> Commission continue the placement and categorization of the Maharajah <br />oHouse for 3 months and 2) their desire to redesign the architectural <br /> style of the structure to eliminate the chronic roof leak and subsequent <br /> interior damage. <br /> <br />Page 99 <br /> <br />55.A. <br /> <br /> <br />
