DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division's annual Equipment Replacement Program <br />is included in the City's annual budget, and identifies vehicles <br />scheduled for replacement. Funding is monitored through a depreciation <br />schedule established with each department. <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency utilizes specially equipped trucks to perform <br />routine maintenance within the City of over 100 miles of primary <br />streets, 400 miles of residential streets and designated structures. <br />Two stencil paint trucks are budgeted for conversion to self-contained <br />graffiti removal trucks. The conversions will expand the street <br />maintenance program of graffiti control. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on January 26-27, 2004, and <br />bids were solicited.
