DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department requires uniforms to outfit new <br />personnel, and replacement uniforms for approximately 650 employees. <br />Uniforms identify department personnel by assigned duties, and give a <br />professional appearance. <br /> <br />On March 19, 2001, the City Council awarded a contract to Uniform <br />Center for a three-year period, with provision for two one-year <br />renewals. Uniform Center has performed satisfactorily during the past <br />contract period, and staff recommends the first renewal of the <br />contract. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are available in the Police Property & Facilities <br />Materials and Supplies account (account nos. 11-343-6391). <br /> <br />Operating <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />.
