NO. 03-015) <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Renew the contract with Adamson Industries for miscellaneous police <br />supplies in an annual amount not to exceed $15,000. <br /> <br />. DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department utilizes a variety of supplies in the <br />daily performance of duties, including such items as fingerprinting <br />supplies during investigations and bookings, and handcuffs in <br />transporting and booking suspects. The contract is designed to provide <br />a quality product at significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br /> <br />On March 3, 2003, the City Council awarded a contract for a 12-month <br />period with options for two 12-month renewals. Adamson Industries has <br />agreed to the first renewal option to the contract; however, due to <br />manufacturers price increases has requested 10 percent price increases. <br />Adamson Industries has performed satisfactorily during the past <br />contract period and staff recommends renewal of the contract. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />22Q.1 <br /> <br />c.... <br />
