DISCUSSION <br /> <br />On October 6,2003 the City Council awarded a contract for the Windsor <br />Village Neighborhood Improvements project to Elite Bobcat Service, Inc. <br />in the estimated amount of $153,678.65 plus a ten percent contingency <br />totaling $169,047. This project provides for replacement of damaged and <br />uplifted concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, wheel chair ramps, and <br />driveway approaches due to growth of tree roots at various locations in <br />the Windsor Village Neighborhood. <br /> <br />During construction, the actual quantity of sidewalks and driveways <br />that are to be replaced was found to be more than the estimated <br />quantity for the project. Given this circumstance, it is necessary to <br />increase the contract amount with Elite Bobcat Service, Inc. by an <br />estimated cost of $10,000 in order to complete this project. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The .estimated increase of the contract is $10,000 for a total estimated <br />amount of $179,047.
