<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Lss03/10/04 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-022 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED GRANT <br />AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE <br />OF TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />On October 6, 2003, the Council approved Resolution 2003-081, <br />authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to execute a grant <br />award agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety to conduct <br />operational training and enforcement of seatbelt violations in support of <br />the Buckle-Up America Operation. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The Office of Traffic Safety has selected the Santa Ana Police Department <br />to receive additional grant funding in the amount of $95,392.00. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />The additional Grant funding will allow the Police Department to provide <br />an additional 21-day enforcement operation specifically targeting seatbelt <br />violations, in support of the Buckle-Up America I Operation ABC National <br />Mobilization. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager and the Chief of Police <br />to execute an amended grant award agreement with the California Office of Traffic <br />Safety in the amount of $95,392.00, for a total grant amount of $144,850.00. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2004-022 <br />Page1of2 <br />
