<br />, <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />SCHEDULE A <br /> <br />t' , <br /> <br />PROJECT No: IN43012 <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />PAGE I <br /> <br />PROJECT GOAL <br /> <br />To increase seatbelt use, statewide to 94% by June 30, 2004. <br /> <br />PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />1. To conduct Occupant Protection roll call training classes for officers and clerical personnel selected <br />to participate in operational phase by November 17, 2003, May 15, 2004 and August 11, 2004. <br /> <br />2. To conduct a pre-operation seat belt compliance survey between: November 1 - 16,2003; Mayl6- <br />23,2004; and August 1 - 11,2004. <br /> <br />3. To conduct two 14-day (November 17 thru 30, 2003 and May 24 thru June 6, 2004) and two 7 day <br />(August 12 - 18 and September 2 - 8, 2004) overtime enforcement operations specifically targeting <br />seatbelt violations. <br /> <br />4. To conduct a post-operational seat belt compliance survey between: December 1 - 12,2003; <br />June 7 - 13, 2004; and September 9 - 18,2004. <br /> <br />5. To mail or FAX to OTS the Mobilization Reports, the pre and post survey results and any pertinent <br />local media releases (electronic or print) by: December 19, 2003; June 30, 2004; and September 29, <br />2004. <br /> <br />6. To mail the Project Claim Invoices (OTS-39) and Project Claim Details (OTS-39a) by: January 16, <br />2004; July 9,2004; and October 8,2004. <br /> <br />Note: Nothing is this agreement shall be interpreted as a requirementJormal or informal, that a <br />particular police officer issue a specified or predetermined number of citation in pursuance of the <br />obligation. <br /> <br />METHOD OF PROCEDURE <br /> <br />Operational Plan <br /> <br />Phase I Personnel Selection and Training <br />(October!, 2003 - November 7,2003; April 25 - May 7,2004; and June 28 -July 16, 2004.) <br />It is anticipated that supervisors, selected uniformed officers, and clerical staff/community service officer <br />persons will be required. Grant Reporting and Project Claim Training will be provided by OTS on an as needed <br />basis. <br /> <br />OTS-38b (Rev 5/98) <br />
