<br />6.4 <br /> <br />6.5 <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Completion of five (5) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification, of which <br />thirty (30) months must be with the Santa Ana Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Completion (acquisition) of at <br />educational and/or training units. <br /> <br />least <br /> <br />sixty (60) <br /> <br />Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />Senior Police Officer II. Any sworn, safety-member Police <br />Officer, regardless of duty assignment, who fulfills the <br />requirements established in this section shall be designated <br />as a Senior Police Officer II and shall be paid at a rate set <br />twenty-five (25) salary rate ranges (approximately 12.5%) <br />above his or her then current base monthly salary step in the <br />Police Officer classification. The criteria for such <br />designation shall be as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Completion of seven (7) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification, of which <br />thirty (30) months must be with the Santa Ana Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Completion (acquisition) of at least ninety (90) <br />educational/training units; or possession of an Associate <br />of Arts degree from an accredited college with an <br />additional thirty (30) or more educational/training <br />units. <br /> <br />Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />Senior Police Officer III. Any sworn, safety-member Police <br />Officer, regardless of duty assignment, who fulfills the <br />requirements established in this section shall be designated <br />as a Senior Police Officer III and shall be paid at a rate set <br />thirty (30) salary rate ranges (approximately 15%) above his <br />or her then current base monthly salary step in the Police <br />Officer classification. The criteria for such designation <br />shall be as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Completion of nine (9) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification, of which <br />thirty (30) months must be with the Santa Ana Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Completion (acquisition) of at least one hundred twenty <br />(120) educational/training units; or possession of an <br /> <br />21 <br />
