Russell, et <br />al, for portions of 800 and 820 South Grand Avenue, in the amounts of <br />4IÞ$47,085 and $28,319 respectively. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Grand Avenue will be widened between McFadden Avenue and Chestnut Avenue <br />to provide three lanes in each direction. Construction is scheduled to <br />begin September 2004. On November 17, 2003, the City Council adopted a <br />resolution authorizing the condemnation of the subject real property and <br />declaring the public necessity and interest therefore in connection with <br />the proposed widening. Since then, continued negotiations between staff <br />and the property owner have resulted in an accepted offer. <br /> <br />The City will acquire 1,400 square feet of right of way and a temporary <br />construction easement from the property at 800 S. Grand Avenue. The City <br />will also acquire 878 square feet of right of way and a temporary <br />construction easement on the property identified as 820 S. Grand Avenue <br />(Exhibit 1). <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration ER No. 2002-382 has been approved and adopted for <br />this project. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />25H-1 <br />
