<br />Lss3/30/04 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-025 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE STATE WATER RESOURCES <br />CONTROL BOARD - PROPOSITION 13 GRANT FUNDING <br />AGREEMENTS <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. In March 2000, the California voters approved Proposition 13, which <br />provides funds to support safe drinking water, water quality, flood protection and water <br />reliability projects throughout the State of California; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B. The Santa Ana Public Works Agency applied for and was approved for <br />two Proposition 13 Program Grants, including (1) the City's Urban Runoff Reduction <br />Outreach Program which will develop and disseminate storm water related educational <br />materials targeted at businesses, school aged children and residents of the City, and (2) <br />a grant to enhance the City's GIS inventory and Inspection of Storm Drain Facility <br />Program; and <br /> <br />C. The City desires to enter into agreements with the State of California to <br />carry out these storm water pollution prevention projects with the approved Grant <br />funding. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council hereby appoints the Executive Director of the <br />Public Works Agency as the agent for the City of Santa Ana to conduct all negotiations <br />and execute all documents including, but not limited to agreements, amendments and <br />payment requests which may be necessary for the purpose of securing grant funds and <br />carrying out the agreements. <br /> <br />Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2004-025 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
