DISCUSSION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />The kitchen at Fire Station No.8 was built in 1961, consists of the <br />original fixtures, and is in need of remodeling. The remodeling will <br />include the installation of new cabinets, counters, appliances and <br />fixtures, electrical and lighting improvements, and will facilitate a <br />more functional and well-maintained station environment. <br /> <br />A notice inviting bids was advertised on March 6-7, 2004, and bids were <br />solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />10 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />5 Invitations For Bid mailed to a Santa Ana vendor <br />3 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received, and opened on March 25, 2004 (Exhibit 1).
