DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department recently upgraded the laptop computers <br />utilized in patrol vehicles. However, a custom computer mount is now <br />necessary to accommodate the new design of the laptop computers. The <br />custom computer mount will replace the existing mount and facilitate <br />better use of the laptop computer. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on March 25-26, 2004 and bids <br />were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />5 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />1 Invitation For Bid mailed to a Santa Ana vendor <br />2 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received and opened on April 5, 2004. The bid received from <br />Troy Products is responsive to the specification and meets the City's <br />requirements.
