Communication Support Group, Inc. <br />has assisted over 20 cities with their cable franchise renewals. These <br />consulting services provide strategic development, negotiation support, <br />fact finding, and financial analysis. The analysis will compare <br />community needs against future revenue assumptions using return on <br />investment and rate setting methodology based on Federal Trade <br />Communications Commission (FCC) rules. <br /> <br />On August 5, 2002 the City Council entered into an agreement with <br />Communications Support Group, Inc. to provide these services to the City. <br />The recommended action will allow for continuous service to the City <br />until the franchise negotiations have been completed. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are budgeted and available in the City Attorney's Office budget <br />(account no. 11-031-6191). <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />'=t~~~.n ~-& . <br /> <br />A~od R.
