EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall provide "Kids Love Music" workshops for children to enjoy a variety of <br />musical experiences as follows: <br />Consultant shall instruct classes for children 4 -14 months with their parents, children 1 -4 <br />years with their parents, and another class for children 5 -7 years old. Each class shall <br />meet once a week during 4 to 6 week sessions, from July 2004 through December 2004. <br />The classes will be held at the Lawn Bowling Club House. <br />Classes will be held on Monday's, as follows: <br />1. Age 1 -4 years 1:45 — 2:30 pm <br />2. Age 4 —14 months 2:40 - 3:10 pm <br />3. Age 5 -7 years 3:20 — 4:05pm <br />Consultant may adjust the schedule, based on the availability of rooms in the City's <br />facility. <br />Session I will run from July 26 through August 16, Session 2 from September 13 through <br />October 25 and Session 3 from November 29 through December 20, 2004. <br />• Each class shall have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20, registered and paid <br />participants. <br />• If the minimum registration has not been reached by the first class, the class may be <br />cancelled by mutual agreement of Consultant and City, with no compensation owed <br />Consultant for any cancelled class session. <br />FEES <br />• Each participant shall pay a $28.00 class registration fee for four -week sessions and a <br />$42.00 fee for six -week sessions. <br />• No refunds will be made to participants after the first week of class unless the class is <br />cancelled by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency. <br />• City shall collect registration fees from each participant. Consultant shall refer interested <br />students to City for registration. <br />• Consultant shall receive seventy percent (70 %) of total fees collected for the classes <br />within fifteen (15) working days after completion of each class session. City shall retain <br />thirty percent (30 %) of the fees collected. <br />• Consultant agrees that City shall be entitled to audit Consultant's records and classes to <br />ensure compliance with this Agreement and that all participants are registered. <br />• Consultant may not waive class participation/registration fees. <br />• City shall prepare class rosters and provide a copy to Consultant. Only registered <br />participants, listed on roster, may participate in class. <br />
