NO. 04-058) <br /> <br />vr <br /> <br />aáÎa~ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Inland Concrete Enterprises, Inc. to rehabilitate 80 <br />sewer manholes in the total amount of $105,300. <br /> <br />8 DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency's Water Resources Division performs an ongoing <br />assessment of the concrete and brick sewer manholes throughout the City. <br />Staff has determined that 80 manholes have deteriorated and require a <br />rehabilitation process that repairs and seals the interior of the <br />manhole with a polyurethane coating. The recommended action will repair <br />leakage and prevent structural failure, while extending the life of <br />existing manholes for a fraction of the cost of replacement. <br /> <br />The notice inviting <br />bids were solicited. <br />is as follows: <br /> <br />bids was advertised on April 26 and 28, 2004, and <br />A summary of the bid invitations and bids received <br /> <br />10 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />2 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received, opened on May 12, 2004, and evaluated.
