NO. 04-060) <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />[J As Recommended <br />[J As Amended <br />[J Ordinance on 1 st Reading <br />[J Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />[J Implementing Resolution <br />[J Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />.,,0/ <br /> <br />a.dla~ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Builders Appliance <br />appliances in the amount of $7,948.72. <br /> <br />Supply <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />8 DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Periodically, the Fire Department's Maintenance Section evaluates the <br />overall condition of the kitchen facilities in the City's 10 fire <br />stations and training facility for safety and aesthetic reasons. <br />Recently, the overall condition of the appliances was evaluated, and it <br />was determined that three ice makers, two dishwashers, two <br />refrigerators, and six microwave ovens are worn and beyond repair. The <br />recommended action will provide the Fire Department with new appliances <br />that will withstand continuous use in a 24-hour per day environment. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on <br />bids were solicited.
