FOR <br />CONSULTING AND TRAINING <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />D As Recommended <br />D As Amended <br />D Ordinance on 1'1 Reading <br />D Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />D Implementing Resolution <br />D Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />.¡ <br /> <br />QlndER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amended agreement with General Learning <br />Climates, Inc. to include additional consulting and training services in <br />an amount not to exceed $40,000. <br /> <br />erSCUSSION <br /> <br />The Police Department entered into an agreement with General Learning <br />Climates, Inc. (GLC) to assist the department with team building, <br />organizational development and goal setting sessions for managers and <br />staff. In addition, GLC provides evaluations of the department's Community <br />Oriented Policing strategies. Staff recommends amending the current <br />agreement to include services that will further strengthen the department's <br />organizational structure by enhancing quality implementation, internal <br />systems, and communications. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds in the amount of $8,000 are available in the FY 03-04 Police <br />Department's Office of the Chief of Police Contractual Services Account <br />(account no. 11-331-6291).
