The <br /> <br />Community Service activity is not intended to be punitive in nature or seen as <br />a last stop program for participants approaching the sixty (61) month CalWORKs <br />time limit. It is an opportunity to succeed through an intense case <br /> <br />management approach that utilizes all available resources in a focused manner. <br />Community Service is mandated under California Welfare and Institutions Code <br /> <br />Section 11322.9. <br /> <br />4.4 <br /> <br />Electronic Data Systems (EDS): <br /> <br />COUNTY provi ded e 1 ectroni c data <br /> <br />systems through which participant referrals are received by CONTRACTOR and <br />data is recorded regarding services provided to participants. <br /> <br />4.5 Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT): A partnership team including but <br />not limited to staff from Welfare-To-Work, Behavioral Health Services. <br />Domestic Abuse Services. Health Care Agency. One-Stop Centers. Employment <br /> <br />Support, Job Servi ces and Vocat i ona 1 Assessment counselors. The purpose of <br />this team is to assist the participant to identify and address issues that <br />have prevented the participant from being successful and work towards the <br /> <br />(WSH0204) <br /> <br />5 of 37 <br />
