NO. 04-084) <br /> <br />f <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Amend the contract with Government Technology Services, Inc. (GTSI) to <br />increase the aggregate limit by $20,000 for the purchase of technology <br />8 products based upon the u.S. Communities contract with GTSI for an <br />annual amount not to exceed $30,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana utilizes various types of computer equipment and <br />computer-related peripherals throughout the organization in order to <br />facilitate daily operations. The equipment and peripherals include, <br />but are not limited to, such items as printers and scanners, wireless <br />routers, hard drives and back-up drives, and servers. Occasionally, <br />accessories and supplies are necessary to allow for continuous use of <br />the equipment. A contract for technology products is essential for <br />maximum efficiency. <br /> <br />U. s. Communities recently awarded a contract for technology products <br />for leading brands of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and <br />related service solutions. The City Council adopted Ordinance No. NS- <br />2312 authorizing the City to purchase against contracts with other <br />government agencies utilizing a competitive bid process. The <br />recommended vendor for the purchase of technology products was awarded <br />a contract as a result of open, competitive bidding, and will provide <br />steep discounts from list price and meets the City's requirements. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />22Q-1 <br /> <br />co.
