NO. 04-087) <br /> <br /><f <br />, <br /> <br />a¿¡d§ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Amend the contract to increase the aggregate limit <br />$13,000 for the purchase of recreation equipment, <br />not to exceed $23,000. <br /> <br />8 DISCUSSION <br /> <br />to BSN Sports West by <br />for an annual amount <br /> <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency provides a variety <br />of summer programs at the City's recreation centers. Programs include <br />the Summer P. R. I . D. E. Tennis Program, Youth Sports Program, and After <br />School Program. BSN Sports West has been a supplier of recreation <br />equipment for the programs. The vendor offers reliable service, <br />competitive pricing and has consistently provided the lowest responsive <br />informal bids. <br /> <br />The purchase of new equipment, including scoreboards, games, and <br />baseball, football, and tennis equipment by several departments has <br />exceeded the $10,000 aggregate limit, thereby requiring City Council <br />approval. Staff requests approval to increase the aggregate limit to <br />$23,000 for BSN Sports West to provide uninterrupted purchases of <br />recreation equipment. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />22H-1 <br /> <br />0$.
