NO. 01-076) <br />./' <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />0 As Recommended <br />0 As Amended <br />0 Ordinance on 1st Reading <br />0 Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />0 Implementing Resolution <br />0 Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />:/L~ß7~~-- <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Renew the contract with Midori Gardens, for landscape maintenance of <br />street medians and various public facilities for a one-year period in an <br />annual amount not to exceed $600,000. <br /> <br />8 DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency is responsible for various public areas that <br />require regular landscape maintenance. The maintenance includes mowing, <br />trimming and cleaning of the City's landscapes medians, 38 miles of <br />arterial sidewalks, six water reservoir facilities, neighborhood <br />monuments and several City-owned parking structures and lots. On July <br />2, 2001, the City Council awarded a contract to Midori Gardens for a <br />three-year period, with provision for two one-year renewals. The vendor <br />has performed satisfactorily during the current contract period, and <br />staff recommends the first renewal of the contract. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are budgeted and available in the Public Works Agency's Median <br />Landscape account (account no. 11-637-6261), Water Maintenance account <br />(account no. 64-574-6261) , and Environmental Sanitation Other <br />Contractual Services account (account no. 68-632-6291). <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />ßvd/ fl.
