<br />REQUEST FOR <br />_COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />JULY 6, 2004 <br /> <br />TITLE: <br />AGREEMENT WITH CDM <br />STORMWATER RELATED <br /> <br />TO PROVIDE <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />0 As Recommended <br />0 As Amended <br />0 Ordinance on 1st Reading <br />0 Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />0 Implementing Resolution <br />0 Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />, <br />/ <br /> <br />IJ/RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to <br />the Clerk of the Council to <br />cost of $335,000 to provide <br />Drainage Facility Inspection, <br /> <br />_ISCUSSION <br /> <br />prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />execute an agreement with CDM for a total <br />stormwater related services for the City's <br />GIS Inventory and Source Control Program. <br /> <br />In September 2002, the Public Works Agency applied for and received <br />Proposition 13 grant funding for the City's Drainage Facility Inspection, <br />GIS Inventory and Source Control Program. This project will include <br />development of a GIS database of drainage and industrial facilities <br />utilized to inspect and identify possible sources of pollution, and the <br />development of a source control program. <br /> <br />Staff has solicited proposals from consultants who specialize in <br />stormwater management to help develop the City's programs. Three <br />qualified firms were contacted, PSOMAS, RBF and CDM. Due to workload <br />commitments and time constraints only one firm, CDM, submitted a <br />proposal. CDM has contracted with the City before, and the Public Works <br />Department is very confident in their expertise in the stormwater <br />management field. <br /> <br />CDM provided a very detailed proposal which <br />grant. Staff is recommending CDM perform <br />Drainage Facility Inspection, GIS Inventory <br /> <br />meets the requirements of the <br />the work related to City's <br />and Source Control Program. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />25E-1 <br />
