Cellular frequency <br />communication. <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />interfere <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City's <br /> <br />radio <br /> <br />The Sprint lease is for a period of ten years with three five-year <br />options. Sprint will install a 65-foot monopine pole that will be <br />designed for collocation, north of the playground area. The antennas will <br />be located at 40 feet above existing grade to allow sufficient room for <br />another carrier. The antenna will be painted to blend in with the <br />monopine. <br /> <br />The Sprint equipment facility will also be located on the north side of <br />the playground. The equipment facility will be designed as a park <br />shel ter along with a park picnic she I ter. Sprint agreed to remove the <br />existing picnic shelter and replace it with a new shelter. The facility <br />will be made of concrete block, concrete support columns and a metal <br />standing seam metal roof. Sprint will install their own electrical <br />service and pay for all electricity used by their operation. <br /> <br />Sprint has agreed to pay the City $24,000 per year, with an annual rent <br />increase of three percent each year, for lease of the park space. Because <br />the installation of the equipment is estimated to be completed by <br />January, only $12,000 in revenue is anticipated for fiscal year 2004-05. <br />Upon termination of the lease Sprint will restore the site back to its <br />original condition at no cost to the City. In addition, Sprint will <br />maintain general liability insurance naming the City as additional <br />insured in the amount of $1,000,000 throughout the term of the lease. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality <br />recommended action is exempt from further review.
