DEEDS, NO CASH On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />GRANTEE - CITY seconded by Councilman Villa and <br /> unanimously carried, Council ordered <br />filed Report of No Cash Deeds accepted by the City Manager, pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 69-156, from January 1, 1970 through January 14, 1970. <br /> <br />DEEDS, NO CASH On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />GtLANTOR - CITY seconded by Councilman Villa and <br /> unanimously carried, Council authorized <br />execution of the following deed by the Mayor and Clerk: Various owners, west <br />side of Glassell, north of Grovemont, vehicular access rights. <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:40 P.M., the meeting was recessed <br /> to 7:30 P.M., at which time it was re- <br /> convened with the same Council members <br />present. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />delivered by the Reverend Paul D. McCracken of the Reformed Presbyterian <br />Church of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />INSTALLATION Mayor Griset recognized Mr. Harry K. <br /> Yamamoto and again announced his <br /> appointment to the City Council. The <br />Clerk of the Council administered the Oath of Office to the newly appointed <br />Councilman and he took his place at the Council table. <br /> <br />SPECIAL RESOLUTION A Special Resolution honoring the Santa <br /> Ana High School Marching Saints Band <br /> was read and presented by the Mayor to <br />Robert L. Ward, the Band Director, who accepted the Resolution and introduced <br />the members of the Band present in the audience. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on the protest of <br />WEED ABATEMENT ASSESSMENT Weed Abatement Assessments by D. A. <br /> Horton on Parcels AP 09-176-02 and AP <br />09-176-03. The Clerk read a letter dated January 14, 1970 from Dr. Horton <br />protesting the assessments in lieu of his appearing in person at the hearing. <br />The Public Works Director displayed two photographs taken two days before the <br />Cily cleaned the lots showing the condition of the lots before they were cleaned <br />and explained the City's position on the matter.
