PROJECT 6016 - On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />SPRINKLER SYSTEM seconded by Councilman Patterson, <br /> and unanimously carried, Council <br />ordered filed report of bids received for Project 6016, Construct Sprinkler <br />Syslem in Jerome Park; awarded contract to the low bidder, Biltmore <br />Sprinkler Company; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />Due to a conflict of interest on the following item, Councilman Markel <br />left the Council Chamber~ <br /> <br />PROJECT 6017 - On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />SIDEWALK AND PLANTERS seconded by Councilman Evans and <br /> unanimously carried, the City Council <br />rejected the one bid received for Project 6017, Construct Concrete Sidewalk <br />and Planters at Jerome Park, on the basis that the bid was twice the amount <br />of staff estimate; and staff was authorized to readvertise for bids. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel returned lo the Council table. <br /> <br />BID CALLS On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br /> seconded by Councilman Patterson <br /> and unanimously carried, Council <br />approved plans and specifications; authorized advertising for bids for the <br />following: <br /> <br />Project 5006 - Traffic Signals and Safety Lights at Civic Center <br />Drive West and Ross Street and Project 5008, Traffic Signals <br />and Safety Lighis at Edinger and Newhope, opening February 9; <br /> <br />Project 3015 - Construction of Sanitary Sewer Trunk in Broad- <br />way and Main Street from Dyer Road to Edinger Avenue, opening <br />February 10; <br /> <br />Project 6006 - Construct Street Improvements at Intersection <br />of Santa Clara Avenue and Grand Avenue opening February 6; <br /> <br />Project 7011 - Construct Minor Modifications in Police Depart- <br />ment Building, opening February 20; <br /> <br />and further authorized reimbursement to Sanitation District One in the esiimated <br />amount of $10,000, said funds to be provided from City Budget Fund 51-532 <br />in regard to Project 3015. <br /> <br />READING WAIVED The full reading of ordinances and <br /> resolutions, the titles of which appeared <br /> on the public Agenda, was waived, on <br />motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Patterson and unani- <br />mously carried. <br /> <br />(PITY COUNCIL -18- January 19, 1970 <br /> <br /> <br />
