MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February 16, 1970 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Hall Annex, 500 West Sixth Street, with the following Councilmen present: <br />Wade Herrin, Vernon S. Evans, J. Ogden Markel, Jerry M. Patterson, Ray <br />Villa, Harry K. Yamamoto, and Mayor Lorin Griset. Also present were <br />City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney William L. Mock, Director of <br />Public Works Ronald Wolford, Director of. Planning Charles Zimmerman, and <br />Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />the Regular Meeting of February 2, <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Evans, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br /> unanimously carried, the Minutes of <br />1970 were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />PROJECT 3015 - SEWER On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />BROADWAY AND MAIN STREETS seconded by Councilman Patterson and <br /> unanimously carried, Council ordered <br />filed report of bids received for Project 3015, Construction of Sanitary Sewer <br />Trunk in Broadway and Main Streets from Dyer Road to Edinger Avenue; <br />awarded contract to the low bidder~ Salata, Inc.; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT 5006 - PROJECT 5008 On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />SIGNALS AND SAFETY LIGHTS seconded by Councilman Patterson and <br /> unanimously carried, Council ordered <br />filed report of bids received for Project 5006, Traffic Signals and Safety <br />Lights at Civic Center Drive West and Ross Street and Project 5008, Traffic <br />Signals and Safety Lights at Edinger Avenue and Newhope Street; awarded con- <br />tract to the low bidder, Steiny and Company, Inc.; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6006 - STREET On motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />IMPROVEMENTS by Councilman Herrin and unanimously <br /> carried, Council ordered filed report of <br />bids received for Project 6006, Construct Street Improvements at Intersection <br />of Santa Clara Avenue and Grand Avenue; awarded contract to the iow bidder, <br />Handley Construction Corp.; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6013 - REST ROOM IN On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />SANTIAGO PARK seconded by Counci]man Evans and unan- <br /> imously carried, Council ordered filed <br />report of bids received for Project 6013..
