M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall Annex, 500 West <br />Sixth Street, and the Clerk was instructed to notify all interested parties. <br /> <br />PROPOSED LEGISLATION After considering the letter from <br />RESOLUTION 70-26 Preston Hotchkis, Chairman, <br /> Californians for YES on 7, request- <br />ing endorsement of Proposition 7 by Council, on motion of Councilman <br />Patterson, seconded by Councilman Evans and unanimously carried, <br />RESOLUTION 70-26 ENDORSING PROPOSITION 7 ON THE JUNE 2, 1970 <br />PRIMARY BALLOT was adopted. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />Council members present. <br /> <br />At 3:45 P. The Council recon- <br />venedat 3:55 P.M., with the same <br /> <br />YOUTH OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM The Council considered a recom- <br />DEVELOPMENT GRANT mendation by the City Manager, <br /> dated March 11, 1970, to endorse <br />a request by the Orange County Administrator for a Federal Youth <br />Opportunity Program Development Grant to establish the position of <br />Youth Coordinator. Councilman Villa commended the Board of Supervisors <br />and the County Administrator for undertaking the proposed project and <br />read aloud portions of the National League of Cities policy regarding the <br />City's role in manpower development and training programs. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />to endorse the County Administrator's application for a Federal Grant to <br />establish the position of Youth Coordinator for Orange County, on the <br />following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Evans, Patterson, Yamamoto, Villa <br />NOES: Markel <br />ABSENT: Herrin, Griset <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 645 Parcel Map 645, filed by Duntley <br /> Properties, creating three (3) M 1 <br /> parcels at northwest corner of <br />McFadden and Lyon, was approved subject to conditions in Planning <br />Director's report dated March 9, 1970, and alley requirement was waived, <br />on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Patterson and <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-70- March 16, 1970 <br /> <br /> <br />
