DAIRY PROBLEMS Council considered the petition <br /> containing approximately 55 <br /> signatures of residents in the area <br />of the Fountain Valley Dairy, 10800 Edinger, Fountain Valley, requesting <br />an effective method of eliminating the flies and odors in the area. The City <br />Attorney explained that there were provisions in the Municipal Code pertaining <br />to these matters and that the Orange County Health Department is the <br />enforcement agency for these provisions. The City Manager explained that all <br />of the cities in Orange County had adopted a uniform ordinance in 1962 regarding <br />this subject and that the level of enforcement was the same in all Orange <br />County cities. <br /> <br />Don Lake, 5124 Lenhart, Santa Ana, spokesman for a group of people at <br />the Council meeting in regard to the matter, explained that the people on <br />the north side of the dairy lived in Santa Ana, and the conditions were very <br />bad, especially in regard to flies; that they were _asking both the Cities of <br />Santa Ana and Fountain Valley for help. Jayne Shockey, 5426 W. Lenhart, <br />complained about the severity of the fly problem at her home, and Harriett <br />Bridge, 5422 W.
