PROPOSED CITY OF IRVINE Council authorized consideration of the <br /> employment of a Planning Consultant to <br /> study the impact of the Irvine plan on <br />the City of Santa Aha, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by <br />Councilman Villa, on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Patterson, <br />Markel <br />None <br /> <br />Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br /> <br />STREET ENCROACHMENT The request by Mr. Jillson, of the <br />PERMIT South Main Improvement Association, <br /> for a street encroachment to allow for <br />the suspension of a Christmas decoration across the public right of way, east <br />to west, in the vicinity of 1438 South Main Street during the Christmas <br />holiday season was approved, on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />PETITION Mrs. Wilma Potter, 428 West First <br /> Street, presented a petition containing <br /> approximately 19 signatures, requesting <br />the retention of the on-street parking along Ross Street. <br /> <br />The petition was referred to staff for a report and recommendation, on <br />motion of the Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:30 P. M., the meeting was recessed <br /> to 7:30 P. M., at which time it was <br /> reconvened with all Council members <br />present. Following the Plege of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />delivered by the Reverend Gerald Bash of the First Christian Church. <br /> <br />BOWERS MUSEUM BOARD Mayor Griset introduced James Faulkner, <br />APPOINTMENT appointed to the Bowers Museum Board <br /> at the afternoon meeting.
