SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA <br />ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS - (Continued) <br /> <br />The appointments were requested in a letter dated November 24, from <br />the Association to the Council, advising that Santa Aha had been selected <br />to serve as a Director-At-Large from among the Association membership. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT An agreement dated <br />BOWERS' MUSEUM ADDITION November 30, 1970, <br /> between the City and <br />the Bowers Museum Foundation, setting for'th provisions for the construction <br />and maintenance of the proposed addition to the Bowers Musem-n, was approved <br />and its execution by the Mayor and Clerk was authorized on the unanimously <br />carried motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Villa. <br /> <br />PROPOSED COUNTY It was moved by <br />HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION Councilman Evans, <br /> seconded by Councilman <br />Villa and carried to instruct the City's representative to the League of <br />Cities to vote in favor of the proposed Orange County Human Relations <br />Commission, as outlined in a "Statement of Goals and Organization" dated <br />November 24, 1970, except that the provisions for $25.00 per meeting <br />per member and the right of subpoena power shall be deletedo <br /> <br />Councilman Herrin stated that he was opposed to the proposed commission, <br />per se. The motion passed on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Evans, Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />NOES: Herrin, Markel <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />FIRST STREET WIDENING Councilman Markel <br />EXPENDITURES raised several questions <br /> regarding property <br />transactions pertaining to the widening of First Street° The City Manager <br />stated that a complete report of moneys appropriated and expended on the <br />project would be provided to the Council as soon as possible. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At 6:10 P.M., there <br /> being no further business <br /> to come before the City <br />Council, adjournment was moved by Councilman Villa, seconded by Council- <br />man Yamamoto and unanimously carried o <br /> <br />Florence I.
