RES. 71-50 - (Continued) <br /> <br />Councilman Herrin stated that he is very definitely opposed to this <br />Resolution because it should be the responsibility of the City of <br />Santa Aha, not the Federal government, to assist Santa Ana citizens. <br />Councilman Markel stated that he would not withdraw his motion, <br />but would %vithdra~v all support for this project; and that it should be <br />the responsibility of the City° <br /> <br />TRAFFIC The report of control <br /> devices removed or installed <br /> from April 29 through <br />May 11, 1971, inclusive, ~vas received and ordered filed, on motion of <br />Councilman I-Ierrin, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE It was moved by Councilman <br />LICENSE APPLICATIONS Herrin, seconded by Council- <br /> man Evans, and unanimously <br />carried, to receive and file the following Alcoholic Beverage License <br />applications: <br /> <br />J & G MARKET, 407 E. Central Ave., Off Sale Beer <br />& Wine, Person Transfer; <br /> <br />SULLY'S SIDE POCKET, 1Z30 S. Main Street, On Sale <br />Beer, Person Transfer; <br /> <br />B & B MARKET, 401 E. Chestnut, Off Sale Beer & <br />Wine, Original Application; <br /> <br />and to instruct the City Attorney to file a protest with the Alcoholic <br />Beverage Control Board to the issuance of the following license <br />because it is located within 300 feet of a Residential zone: <br /> <br />BONANZA SIRLOIN PIT, llZ0 W. 17th Street, On Sale <br />Beer & Wine, Original Application. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION APPLICATION The following Solicitation <br /> Application was approved <br /> on motion of Councilman <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto and unanimously carried: <br /> <br />AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY, Santa Ana Unit 131, <br />317 S.
