<br />FEZ Daisy Wheel Network Program <br />August 2, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Mexican <br />American Opportunity Foundation in an amount not to exceed $90,760 <br />for vocational/occupational training and supportive services under <br />the Federal Empowerment Zone Daisy Wheel Network Program. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Orange <br />County Conservation Corps in an amount not to exceed $101,115 for <br />education and emploYffient strategies under the Federal Empowerment <br />Zone Daisy Wheel Network Program. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Taller San <br />Jose in an amount not to exceed $133,948 for vocational/occupational <br />training, emploYffient strategies, and supportive services under the <br />Federal Empowerment Zone Daisy Wheel Network Program. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Templo <br />Calvario in an amount not to exceed $45,025 for emploYffient <br />strategies and supportive services under the Federal Empowerment <br />Zone Daisy Wheel Network Program. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with The <br />Cambodian Family in an amount not to exceed $85,629 for <br />vocational/occupational training, emploYment strategies, and <br />supportive services under the Federal Empowerment Zone Daisy Wheel <br />Network Program. <br /> <br />DJ:SCUSSJ:ON <br /> <br />In May 2002, the Santa Ana Empowerment Corporation Board approved a four- <br />year business plan that identified three specific goals and objectives <br />that they wished to see achieved. One of the three goals concerned job <br />development, training, and job placement for Empowerment Zone residents. <br />In 2003, the Board sent out a Request for Proposal to over 50 entities <br />for the development and implementation of a Daisy Wheel component.
